Hello Overclockers,

Seems a little nooby, but I just wanted to ask...

Would you be able to use an SSHD for your main drive with an SSD just for OS?

how do you plan to use them?

OS + commonly used programs on SSD, Data + other programs on SSHD?
Raiding them in together to try to make 1 massive drive (not even sure it will work)
mirroring the SSD to the SSHD (most likely to cripple the SSD)

there are probably more ways to use an SSD + SSHD, both good and bad, but the general answer is yes, the 2 drives will work together, but how plan to set them up might affect their performance

Not a lot of point in an SSHD for storage though so either save some cash on a normal HDD or upgrade to a bigger HDD for a similar price.

yes, the SSHD for all of the applications and everything elese. Whilest the SSD would be used solely for the OS.

However, using the drives like this would affect the performance?
