Listen to the advice been given, of course it's your money so you can spend it as you please. But even if you want a new rig and to give your current set-up to your daughter for around £1k to £1.2k you could get a top rig which would play wow and all other games very well and more than likely for longer than 6 months there's some good suggestions below:)

Ok be honest with me im running a Quad Q67OO with 2 gig RAM on XP Pro with a
ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB. Which i was going to give my daughter. How much faster in real terms will the above make MASSIVE AMOUNTS or not????
Your WoW rig is better than my main rig. :(

Surely you should be getting 60fps everywhere on WoW? I almost do... limited by an 8600GT

So easy and nice isn't it trying to spend £2k? I couldn't even do that for a good PC..

Forgot to add a 120mm fan for the HSF!!!

The Megahalems already comes with one set of 25mm clips in the box, buying 2 extra would leave 1 to waste.

I find it hard to believe that your current rig is struggling with WoW, If you have a lot of money to burn might aswell wait until christmas and see whats around.

When I upgraded from a 4 year old AMD/8800GS to a Q6600/4870 system, just under 2 years ago, i saw absolutely no improvement in WoW. The thing was already maxed out with everything on full in 1680x1050.

I can't imagine upgrading your present system will give you any benefit in WoW - if anything just get an SSD and put WoW on it, so you can get around the incessant drive thrashing when hitting a full city. And 2G of RAM could be upgraded - stick 4G in it, it's cheap now.

My current system handles everything out now well (Fallout 3, for instance), I'd say it's futureproofed for 6 months, so yours should be too. Spending £2k now will futureproof you for a LOT longer, I'd wait for the next gen of ATi cards first to see what they're like. And yes, an OCed 920 instead of a 950!

Wow isnt that demanding with graphics anyway, if i remember correctly (stop playing a while ago) only thing on it that requires quite abit is the shadow level of detail and thats only due to poor coding.

Ok thx for the suggestions, but went and brought this

One thing people havent asked is what monitor and hence resolution hes running.

People are speccing up multiple 275's, multiple ati cards, there really is no need for WOW on any resolution.

Someone with sense (acidhell2) got it right but why need a 910w PSU to run i7 and a single 275gtx ? a corsair 520 modular will do for less than half price.
