Would You Buy An Apple Gaming Console?

Hell no, definately not - I hate apple and everything they stand for. People buy their products because of their stupid logo.

What does this mean?..ive seen this a few times...."and everything they stand for"...what...are they secretly going to raise a Nazi army up and take over the world with minmalist menus and trying to make everything thinner?

im being serious what do poeple mean by this?

I now own an iMac....i still own a PC i built....the more i use them...the more they become different things to me..why people even really comapre them is beyond me.

Apple is never making a console....how long did it take them to realise their are powerful GPU's made?...come on.

I doubt it will ever happen, although there was a suspect patent to do with a gaming platform, could have been to do with the mobile gaming though.

7-8 years ago replace the company in the OP question with Microsoft and ask the same question. Crappy reputation, unreliable software that needs patching once a year, no real hardware experience to speak off, new entrant to games market, sell overpriced products.

Ring any bells? I would say if anything if Apple did enter now, the above reasons, put them in a better place than MS when they entered, (apart from the obvious balance differences between companies, and arguably the market is bigger than it was 7-8 years ago).

Can you imagine the launch events of each game that gets released with jobs preaching on a stage and hordes of apple fanboys/girls cheering in succession?? Jesus i hope this doesnt happen.

No, I dont think this far in Apple would pull it off with the Games console however looks like they might do ok with the handheld.

Oh god... just don't.

I remember seeing a press release where they screamed for a good 5 mins when they unveiled the MARGINALLY different new apple logo. Utter sigh fest.

I would predict (along side Iphone games), the only possiblity would be Apple and Nintendo joining forces.

If Nintendo had Apple advertising skills then the N64 and Ga,ecube would be gargantuan hits, and the Wii would probably have sold another 10 million and be sold at 30% higher cost.

It would be a bad move for Nintendo to join Apple and share profits, they simply don't need anyone to help dominate at the moment.

They all literally wet their pants every time he opens his mouth, I genuinly feel embarrassed for them.

WOOOH, 16 pages? Did someone spark a debate? Or is there porn hidden somewhere?

Anyways, I'd buy one depending on the games scheduled, and the media capabilites.

I would have to know all of the benefits of such a console before looking into buying one for myself, at current status however i would not buy one

They are Yanks and are probably all Californians, therefore all that cheering and "Wetting their pants" is a given...

I doubt Apple would ever release a games console that's sole job would be to play games. It would have to be multi-purpose if it was from Apple and the games playing ability wouldn't be the most touted part...
