If it was a 100% safe? Probably but it'd have to a worthwhile length of time, couple of hundred years minimum, make it a thousand. Probably wake to find Britain under Sharia law since it would offend muslims if we weren't and we can't possibly offend anyone, can we.

You're forgetting the collosal bill for electricity and maintenance while you've been out of it... you'd be in debt by at least that much.

If you knew that you would wake up, wake up in good health with no repercussions from the extended hyper-sleep
Had nothing or no one to keep you around at the moment and wanted to see what its like 50-75-100 years down the line then sure why not I don't see an issue with it
