Would you go crazy on computer stuff if you won the lottery?

I'm sure I'd have other things on my mind and different priorities. Endless amounts of cash would probably open up hobbies and interests previously unavailable to me as well.

However, I think eventually, when things settle down a bit...... yes I'd build a beast of a machine :D I'd probably play around with cutting edge tech' as well. This has always been my main interest and hobby so I'd find it hard to resist I'm sure.
 
If I was a millionaire, I'd probably play less PC games. Take more holidays, trek round the globe, etc.

I think upgrading my PC would probably by pretty low down on my list of things to do :p

I'd spend some money making it as silent as possible, however, because I have a fetish for silent PCs :p
 
I would probably spend up to a maximum of £3000 and keep it for a couple of years, and sell off the old parts before upgrading. Technology is literally outdated the moment it gets released, it's not worth spend more and more just to feed my ego, when money could be better spent. I would do somemore charity to help the less privaledged that's for sure.
 
This would be my choice of bits if I won. Take my time building it myself.

I would buy a plot of land and have my own house built or buy a property with a fishing lake.

I would have the house fitted with internal network, fileserver for the kids (movies etc), a cinema room and I would have an office with a couple of beastly pc's, kick ass screens and 2 race seats... also on the list would be a swimming pool/bar area for parties in the summer and lastly I would have to buy myself an Aston Martin :) (I am nearly 40 so would be my mid life crisis present to myself)

and a swedish au pair :P
 
i wouldnt go to mad if it had anything to do with computers it would prolly only be something like making it silent as this one drives me up the wall sometimes ;p

Yeh i would go sick and buy a big house fill it with servers get a rediculas broadband connection then let people use them for hosting for free!

I would buy the best of the best a few times for LAN play wid mates!

Yeah it will become out dated quickly,, but surely if you spend a lot, it will last longer for gaming??

But saying that, my pc will be 2yr in march, spent think it was £600 and its still running everything I throw at it.
 
Level 10 case would be mine, then I'd just put a few SSDs in there and be done with it.

I'd also have random acts of kindness and give a free gift to forum members :p
 
Watercool my rig, replace my benq fp241w with a couple of newer screens. Then spend a lot on booze, gambling and women.
