You can try striking a deal with someone at Halfords... Sometimes they'll want to charge you £25 for each mark but the more reasonable ones would just do them all for £25. Otherwise if you want to be sure probably best to just pay the excess to your insurance to get a new windscreen.

Yeah I'd have a blast with the RainX kit too. I've used it several times in the past with good success.
I've had 2 replacement windscreens on 2 different cars within the last 2 years or so and I was never happy with either of them. The first one on my E90 was shoddy work at best and resulted in black sealant oozing out onto the A pillar trims and the second on my Mondeo seemed ok for a while until it started getting colder when I noticed the screen was misted up every morning so clearly something wasn't sealed right somewhere.
My current car has a few small chips that I need to sort out, but with no cracks. Just been waiting for some half decent weather as the RainX kit needs UV/sunlight for the resin to dry properly so I suppose this weeek is a good time.
