I've spent about £40 on a t-shirt, which would be my absolute maximum (and tbh is all I can see that t-shirt to be worth).
I used to regularly spend £20-£25 on FCUK etc t-shirts but I don't bother much now. Tend to buy the odd 'designer' top and go for nice Next/Topman/Burtons jeans/jackets.
You get so protective of zip up jackets and stuff when they cost £70+ so I just don't bother anymore.
(edit: I would pay £80 for a very nice shirt though, similar for trousers. Well worth it - you can tell quality gear apart from high street stuff.)

). Hopefully when I have the money when I'm older I'll be able to sample some of the more fancy stuff.
A few years ago I would have laughed at expensive items of clothing and dismissed them as hilariously over priced and unnecessary. In some cases this is still true, but when you actually look at some of the expensive stuff you realise how good it is.
