Surely it depends on what you are both happy with, if she doesn't mind then whats the problem.

People have said that watching a film for 2.5 hours is a waste of time, then why do it! :confused:
 
If I had made the decision with gf to sit and watch a movie that we both wanted to see then I wouldn't be on my laptop and neither would she. I personally think it's quite rude. I wouldn't take out my mobile in the cinema and start watching youtube, same applies if we're sitting down to watch a movie and it's not just a random occurrence.
