WoW Annual Pass

erm thats the price on the blizzard store for SC2...

And if you bought it from there you'd have to be more brain damaged than buying it at the high-street release price. Who would seriously go to the Blizzard store to get a retail copy of a game that can be had from major retailers and even the high-street significantly cheaper?

Very few games sell for their publishers RRP, anywhere. £45 is not the "current price" of SC2.

A quick google shows that gameplay has it for £25, and coolshop has it for £29.99. Most shops are in the £30 - £35 bracket I mentioned though. None at the £45 RRP.

Do people really just buy games at the first price they see without doing any shopping around...? I'm not even sure what point you're trying to prove...

Gameplay is £29.99, google must be holding old pricing information.

I don't know if I would order from Gameplay (having never used them myself, so I'm a bit weary). As their release date is claiming November 25 when Blizzard have already said that it will not be released until early 2012 (ie Febuary).

Also, Amazon is now listing Diablo 3 at the same price of £29.99

Don't buy on the high street big names then? I got SC2 for under £30 on release retail from a shop.

Obviously you're going to pay the rip off premium prices if you refuse to shop around and buy from places like game.

I looked around the whole of my town looking for who stocked it the cheapest, including the supermarkets and the cheapest I found was £35 from hmv so don't tell me I didn't shop around. Not everyone lives in the same town with the same shops ya know.

Gameplay is legit and very good at delivering pre ordered games on release date or before. I bought crysis 2 from them and received it 2 days early.

I got it for under £30 on the day of release, but I don't recall where though.

If you don't have shops that don't rip you off near you, I'd have happily got it online rather than pay £35...

How much is a WoW subscription and does it include all the game content including expansions for download i.e. works without buying the actual game?

For all those asking about subs now - if you haven't already got a WoW account don't even bother with this deal. It is only available to those who had a World of Warcraft account registered on or before October 18th. Anyone creating an account now will not be eligible.

old accounts though are fine - so if you have any account created before october 18th , including one made 5 years ago your `ok` for this deal (contact me so i can send you a scroll of resurection to try it out now)

vanilla + tbc are free now just lich king and cata are the paid for expansions (guessing wotlk will roll to free once panda land is out)

the standard for 1 years subs - either 12x£8.99

or £25.17 for 3 months or £46.14 for 6 months

so totals would be

£107.88 paid monthly

or

£100.68 if paid by 4 x 4 quaterly subs

or

£92.28 if bought via 2 x 6 monthly subs

The deal at first seems great. Blizzard wants to you lock down a long term deal on WoW. They know it's slowly dying and even though Diablo 3 is a different type of game it's going to complete with WoW. How many people have the time to play WoW, D3, SC2 and the abundance of games that are coming out?
