WOW Cata re-roller guild interest

I'm on Defias Brotherhood. Been playing a bit this evening, got a level 14 Tauren Shaman called Thuud.

I joined ocuk chat but as a trial user I can't talk on it, and can't pm anyone unless they are in my friends list.

However I've noticed that you can be added to guilds under a trial account as I got invited to one not soon after I started, which I've been in for the time being. Unless you mean that you personally do not wish to add me because mine is only a trial account, in which case I understand.

I'm still not sold on if I want to go full account yet. I'm worried I am becoming addicted. It's kinda hard for me to be casual playing this game, I get too excited and try to level as much as I can :P

I was under the impression we couldn't invite trial members but if we can that's great! I'll be back from work tommorow and will get you in then if another officer doesn't catch you first.
 
Hi guys, I am also interested in joining. I stopped playing exactly a year ago. I will have a PC this Tuesday and I've already bought the game and all it's expansions again. The reason for this was I gave the account to a friend on a gaming forum I use and wouldn't have the cheek to ask for it back.
I was experienced in the old game but as everything has changed I'll basically be a noob again. Want to make a Goblin.
Can one presume it would be ok for me to follow the advice given above? A little bg info on moi, I'm 25, work normalish office hours (09.30-6 or 08.00-16.30) and take my gaming seriously but at the same time I like to have a laugh.

Just drop your char name in here when you roll or hunt down an officer.

What you thinking of playing? Everyone is welcome but tanks and healers are appreciated :)
 
I like a hybrid sir. I never got round to doing that Shaman in WOTLK so now is a perfect time to start.

Edit: So I'll dual spec resto and ele for example.

if you want a good levelling guide I would recomment wow-pro

the guides are free and the addon is great. I use it to level but don't rely on it alone but it's a great tool to know where to go next as there are loads of guides on it and they usually go up 5 levels at a time so you can see where you should be next. This is also helpful because at the moment you'll level faster than the content and unless you want the slowdown midway through each ten levels you'll have to move up to the next area before the game content tells you... :(

you won't be able to do this until you get to level 70 or so as you have to have 31 points spent in one talent tree before you can put some in another. Get talent point from lvl 10 and get them every 'odd' level after (abilties seem to be every 'even' level). so won't leave you many after commiting to one tree. You will have to main one.

I don't remember it being like this in vanilla (or before Cata tbh - so do not know when it came in).

So you will have to pick one for the majority of character leveling. Have not got character above 27 yet in Cataclysm so please someone feel free to correct me if I have this wrong.

You get dual spec talent at level 30 mate so you can concurrently have 2 specs and switch between them.

In Vanilla it was a new ability every even level and TP's every level. But they culled the trees for cata so a lot less points than there once was.

Can someone shoot an invite to Swerv when I'm on tonight please, bit bored of levelling, could do with the xp boost to speed things up a bit! :)
 
Are you on a trial? In the guild? I think that was an issue before - you can join a guild, but you can't chat in guild chat :s

Edit: Just to share a little comedy I encountered yesterday, I was in Uldum and the sky suddenly went very red.

Actually come to think of it, I recognize some of those names, Bans Hammer guild by any chance?

People need to realize Brraap is deliberately baiting people in trade and they fall for it all the time.

They also need to realize that only one or two goons shout their mouths off; 99% of the guild are completely normal people. We're just incredibly insular and don't really care what everyone else thinks though.

I did not know Bans Hammer was the OcUK guild though! Maybe we can have a friendly run sometime?
