WoW - how the heck do I get a UI looking this good ?

Top left is Grid I believe - used by raid healers mainly.

Don't know the Unit Frames - could be Perl Classic.

Below that, the threat meter is Omen.

On the right, think it's Deadly Boss Mods for the cooldown counters.

I'm not sure about the font changes, I use Scrolling Combat Text, which might do it, but never played around with it that much.

*edit* lot of guessing going on there, if there's something specific you want, I'll ask my brother as he knows EVERY WoW addon going :rolleyes:

Good!? that looks like his screen is just spammed with all kindsa junk lol

Bongo bars and essential raid addons were all i used. and maybe titan panel or similar.

Na - I like the UI.

For me it has everything I need in a raid:

Timers So I can see my dots, I already have the DPS meter (recount) and threat (omen) but I love the bottom part of the UI mostly, Where all the spells are (between the player and the boss he is fighting) and the lower part... I really want to know what it is :(

That looks horrible xD talk about filling the screen :O, theres more bars and info than actual game. Mind you I just use the bog standard UI with extra bars so maybe I'm a n00b :P

Unfortuneately, if you're playing a raiding healer a lot of that stuff is necessary to be effective.

What lower bit are you looking at, looks like the bottom bar is something like Titan panel, can't remember what the custom map mod is.

simple mini map?

As jokester says being a raid healer, means needing a lot of addons.

Maybe pop along to the eu wow forums and ask in there.

I used one called laveui i think, was used by a paladin but i really liked it.

That's rubbish, I've healed up to Black Temple and never used more than Omen and Grid. When I started Kara, I didn't use any mods at all (or key bindings) and my healing has never been a problem. No-one needs any mods to play, they just make things easier if you suck :p.

I am actually a raiding shadow priest -

So because I have no threat cooldown I need:

To see how much mana I am getting
Agro
DPS
Easy access to all of my spells
Plus all the other normal stuff

It really helps with DPS for dot reminders, and cooldown in numbers rather than the normal "slightly darker circles" helps too.

The main thing I like about the UI though is the bottom part - where all the bars are...

According to http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/8260/

Unit Frames: Discord Unit Frames Part Frames: Pitbull Castingbar: Quartz Cooldown Timers: DoTimer Chat Enhancement: Prat Square map: Squeenix Critical Management: Critline DPS chart: SW_Stat Threat Management: KLH-threatmeter Those little panel thingies: eePanels Actionbar management: Bartender3 FuBar, locationfu, Experiencefu

apparently that hasn't been updated in a while so here may have better info http://nihilum.mousesports.com/en/media/view/29/

That looks horrendous.

Someone mentioned he was using Grid - This is incorrect (Grid is however awesome for healers).

You want minimalistic with functionality, you don't want all that clutter most of it is pointless.

I could never play WoW without my UI displaying

* the time in botswana
* how much gold i lent to barry
* a graph that tracks the number of right turns i make in ashenvale
* the correct spelling of "rouge" and "ridiculous"
* friends list
* ignore list
* shopping list
* brahms & lizt
* current petrol prices
* a little clock with a moon symbol
* fondue set
* cuddly toy
* a mod that not only opens up all your bags at once, but spills your loot onto the ground in such a way that it spells out "you're amazing"
* 64.3
* address of a greek restaurant owner in pimlico

When I get another account set up for two boxing, I'm gonna import that UI, and place it in the top half of my screen. That way, 100% of my screen will be covered with banks and banks of abilities, hotbuttons, timers, inventory etc. I won't even have to check the mirror to see if I need to shave anymore because I'll set up a macro alert

Major points deducted for party frames showing in raid, Recount covering the Bigwigs timers, loads of empty space in the chat window and still relying on Discord Unit Frames for player, target and ToT, while using Pitbull for party frames that you don't even need. Good player, bad UI :)

Lol why? It's a shadow priests UI. He/she needs to keep an eye on his/her party members' mana. I like to keep mine up anyway so I can see if other healers in my group are casting heals and where to etc.

@OP: Go download a UI pack or something and play about with it. This'll give you an idea of what addons look good and what you need/like. I recommend Photek UI as a starting point.

1. Why does it matter what the groups mana is at? As long as VT is up you shouldn't be worrying.

2. With a decent raid frame set-up you should be able to see all of this anyway.

3. DPS doesn't really need raid frames.
