WoW - how the heck do I get a UI looking this good ?

A good "basic" set of mods that will allow plenty of customisation and decent level's of info without filling the screen with crap (but be ready to do a lot of configuring getting them looking how you want) are:

Pitbull unit frame
Titan bar or Fubar (same thing, it's personal preference)
Bartender or Bongo's (bar mod)

Then something like natur enemy castbar for spell timers etc.

Useful utility stuff are mods like cartographer (get the version from wowace updater will all the extra's: Ore/Herb spawn locations? Check, Showing quest givers and vendors you've visited? Check, working out the shortest route around all the ore/herb spawns in a particular zone with a big line to follow? Check) Auctioneer and anything that gives more info about mobs.

Personally i've got a LOT more. As far as them breaking on patch day - get hold of the wowace updater.

Advanced mods like arc hud take a little getting used to (no more portraits with health bars, just your bar to the left of u, targets bar to the right) but make dps classes more intuitive to play.

Have an experiement. WoWace updater gives a quick description of each and will manage installing/uninstalling of each addon.
 
im going to reroll at hunter from being a level 70 Shadow priest, want to explore more and will be soloing a lot. is there a must have for hunters?
