WOW problem updating

Hi the last 2 updates patches for wow have been downloading really slow for some reason?
Im currently downloading tuesdays patch at 2.5kps which is ridiculous,only firewall i have is on my BT home hub which is new and i dont know much about, all other downloading is fine and i can max out my connection np.

Has anyone else had this problem in the past if so is there a soultion.

I guess you're using the Blizzard downloader?

Try downloading from a mirror from this page: http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors

You can try putting these 2 options on in View > Preferences (not sure if any of them are on by default but i have them switched on anyway)

Or you can as the above poster said just use a patch mirror, gamershell.com is one of the places i usually use for wow patches.

I would use them when I downloaded patches. Very good site imo if you need a WoW patch, bit cluttered mind.

I would assume it was BT that was limiting your broadband, they do that between the hours of 5pm and 12am and the blizz downloader is seen as a bit torrent type program and, therefore, limited.

I used to get slow speeds too, http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors is all you need.
