WoW Triple XP Incentive

for dual boxing you only ever need two macros considering you have a key stroke copier installed.

/follow charactername

/assist charactername

/assist makes your other character target the same add as you and when you press an attack button the same attack copies onto your other character.

This is the simple, and basically worst way to do it, gives you no flexibility at all. First you would have to make sure the assist is done before every target, often when facing multiple mobs its not efficient to target only one character, especially classes with DOT damage effects.

You want a new macro for almost every power, with the assist info in the attacks so every time you hit a new target on the main the other boxes once you trigger an attack will automatically pick up the target.

Theres also only so many easily accessible buttons to use, and plenty of things like buffs that would normally need you to pick a target to use it, on each screen thats slow. A quick macro written so client 2 targets client 2 then uses said buff/heal, then you go back to your normal attack pattern and due to the macro you've automatically targetted the mob just by pressing the attack you want.

The basics are, keep WASD on the main only, unbind them on the other clients, if you need them to stop following use the left/right cursor and to use them to line up on mob's when the mob moves and they can't target.

The two links I put up in the post above have a huge list of macro's you can use and advice on how to best setup. A couple hours spent reading, a couple hours spent implementing and you will afterwards find setting up new macro's on new alts a breeze and makes it incredibly effective.

For instance i just started a triple priest one, I have E set up to do a small heal on the main and round robin through the option on keyclone. That essentially means everytime i press E it will heal my main but Keyclone will only send the command to one client at a time in rotating order. So press it three times and all 3 cast the heal, only one heal needed, press it once. Press Alt +e, and it will do the same but for my 2nd client, and ctrl+e heals the 3rd client.

Proper macro's are the difference between 2 or 3 completely, 100% functional dps's or healing characters, and a main and a fairly useless backup who rarely works.

one of the best is for my warlock group is using cast sequence. Macro on all 3 clients which basically says something like

/assist focus (this line only on other clients, or you can have assist name)
/castsequence reset=target/combat siphon life, corruption, immolate

this means on a single button I can throw up all the DOT damage attacks and they cast in sequence. one button press 3 times and I have 9 dot's on a target, easy. Then for instance on Warlocks they can have one curse on a target at a time, so why all use the same curse. another macro, different on each client, one does increase damage taken curse, other two do high damage, press alt and one damage changes to reduced speed.

Macro's let you do all kinds of things. take the time to read. I think I died a total of 2-3 times from 1-50 including doing multiple instances, most of those getting to close to camps I didnt' realise were guarded by stupid high level horde with silly aggro distance :p

Thanks for that Drunkenmaster. I shall readup tonight whilst downloading the patch.

When you say you keep WASD on the main only and unbind them on the other clients, are you using keyclone for that or are you running two installs ?
