WoW Triple XP Incentive

2 accounts, 1 macro?

2 accounts, 2 macros (assist and follow) and a key copier (i went for keyclone and worked without flaw)

total cost was new wow account (but i got 1 month free on my original account for them upgrading from a trial, so cancels that out) and keyclone at a tenner.

hit 60 in 2 days 2 hours played and boosted a level 30 character from 30-60 with the free levels in 20 mins.

I have to say of the 2 days playtime i've put in maybe, a good 4-6 hours was spending ages setting up first macro's, and changing things later in the game as abilities and talents change.

Is that level 50 in 2 days or 2 x 24hours ? If its the former then wow lol

I obviously suck. (which i already knew lol)

I have also spent too long on crappy quests with little xp. Ive was also following a levelling guide but your level leaves the guide well behind. Its knowing where to rejoin it.

Ok spent al night multiboxing, managed to get from lvl 16 to 19. i suck bad lol.

Download questhelper http://wow.curse.com/downloads/SearchResults.aspx?s=3816&q=questhelper

Its really useful, will show where to go on your map and plan a fastest route, the only problem with it is that it includes flight paths to other zones and can bug the fastest route out a bit but it's easy to ignore.

Try james levelling guides

Horde: http://www.wow-pro.com/node/754

For some reason i cant find the 1-30 guide for alliance or horde...it used to be there and probably still is i'm just being lazy and unhelpful :P

Dont do quests that involve having to loot quest objects from mobs, only the ones that say go to X and kill X amount of mobs or go somewhere and loot an object.

It was closer to 2x24 hours, not actually sure tbh as I leave them afk all the time going off to make food, and literally hours spent around messing with macro's.

I wouldn't suggesting going to fast is that good, depending on if you've played before, I actually remember a lot of the stuff from level 1-40ish which is where I stopped on my one alt years ago. I have a disturbingly good memory, but in the slight different area's and from probably 30-50 I really get the feeling I've missed a lot of stuff. Definately do your best to avoid collection quests, sometimes unavoidable as I'm not using Thotbot to check most of the quests to see if theres a decent reward as keeping 3 characters in gear is fairly difficult. Some things like warlock class quests have irritating collecting quests, or long travel but are needed for the abilities or the reward.

But slow isn't bad, you have really as long as you want to pay for it. The trip xp will certainly help you bypass a lot of stuff the second time around, you can really skip a hell of a lot of content/quests if you want with trip xp.

If you really just want to do it as fast as possible then remember to skip everything that comes up as a grey quest, XP will be next to nothing and also not tripled. If you have a dozen quests all green in the log then more than half will be grey by the time you've handed them in. Pick the easiest/closest few and ditch the rest. This is where the difficulty lies, you often get the "go talk to character X in new town you want to be in Y" at the end of a long chain. When you don't know the game its hard to know where to move on.

Would have been faster without boxing :P

I have Zygors levelling guide installed, it would be excellent if i was levelling normally but you soon leave it behind level wise and it takes time to pick where to rejoin it as it jumps from zone to zone. It also does all the loot quests.

I like the look of questhelper, (the link doesnt work for me though) i think that is just what i need, then i can pick just the kill mob quests and it points me where to go on the map :)

I have been through the game to 70 with a rogue (over a year ago) so this time I want to get to 70 asap with my priest before WoLK. but i dont think its going to happen at this rate.

My main problem is controlling the charcters, i have died far too often which is wasting time. If im fighting more than one mob im struggling, as my preist and mage are so squishy. If i get an unexpected add hacking away on the back of my mage while im running the priest screen im goosed lol. Im trying to aovid quests in caves/mines where you work you way in then reaspawn adds catch you from behind.

i really need to get read up on some macros, the mage most of the time tends to lose focus on what im fighting and just stand there like a spare part. mainly if the mob isnt directly in front of her.

for dual boxing you only ever need two macros considering you have a key stroke copier installed.

/follow charactername

/assist charactername

/assist makes your other character target the same add as you and when you press an attack button the same attack copies onto your other character.

The Macro I have been using that i got from some site is

/target focus charactername
/follow charactername
/assist charactername
/stopcasting

Im having to press this everytime i select a new target. Is that right ?

That was supposed to do everything i needed. The problem seem to be if we are fighting a mob then i want to change to another add i have to select the add then click this macro again. It would be better if when i fire at the add with say smite it also had /assist in there somewhere. Also if we get attacked from behind I will turn with the mouse and start attacking but as my mage isnt facing the mob it just stands there.

Would it not be simpler to have a grp made, get a lvl 60/70 warrior, head to stocks, pull mobs to your lvl 1's, and kill them. get xp, instead of doing quests? or are the quests the way to go. I wouldnt mind a druid at high level as they look fun, only got mine to 36, now everyone i know dosnt really play.

Just wondering before i go try this out.

so so, what do you use to control your character wasd or the arrow pad?

if you use wasd, dont use the arrows on your main account but on your others use the arrows. this effectivley allows you to turn your two characters to face mobs that attack you from behind.

i only ever had two macros, just one with /follow and one with /assist

at the start of the fight i would just press /assist and then fight and then after just hit follow. had them both on my action bar and worked great.

your better using a mix of both. quests in dungeons give huge xp rewards but you only get them from normal quests.
