richyfingers said:I would advise you to think carefully when you create your character as if you pick a class that has an ability to heal, i.e priest, druid, shaman or paladin most guilds will want you to have a healing spec and you will be forced to stare and health bars for hours when you go raiding (not much fun). That’s not so say you could mainly focus on PVP and get some nice gear from that.
Drukk said:Higher sword skill will up your DPS which is one of the reasons why rogues go for the Maladath sword (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40807) but It all depends on the level Mob your fighting and your hit percentage. The guide below explains it.

The Hakkari offhand weapon is a good rogue offhand but the Hakkari mainhand is not really much good due to its speed. It does n't give you those big SS crits you need. If you are doing MC go for Brutality blade MH.

I've found a very nice place in western plaguelands where i can take down at least 8 at a time. Gives very nice XP, rep and cash/items. Only way i've seen fire mages do it is by tag teaming with a lot of stam gear to take most of the hits but is a lot more risky.
A good thing about being a mage that in most fights i will only get hit once so nice low repair bills.
