Wrath Of The Lich King Alpha

Also, when people say "Friends and Family" I don't think everyone realises just how big that sample is. It's not just friends and family of blizzard employees, but all kinds of random people. For the BC Alpha I remember a bunch of the top WC3 players all having keys, etc.

This is true. "Friends and family" stages can have all sorts of people playing. Anybody from lab guys at Nvidia to the bloke who runs the canteen.

I've played it. Just download and get it on a private server. There are no NPC's though. I only went on it to see the new areas... Some of them looks VERY impressive. :)

Was reading some posts on that german site and some guys complain about getting a trojan when they download the client from that site.....wouldnt trust their servers even if you get the client from blizzard.

I'm just going to wait (impatiently) for release, Id rather wait and play the finished product than play a bugged version, that'll have the characters wiped anyway.

I don't really see the appeal, I'd rather wait until the final version is available than play a buggy/incomplete version and ruin the surprise.

amen, the only beta i've ever played was guild wars nightfall and it ruined the experience when i actually paid money for it.

i'll let others fix the bugs and then enjoy the game as it's intended.

I'm gonna wait for the final version too, I don't want to get used to any new skills because like the Warrior talents in beta-TBC, they got nerfed quite a bit.

Deathknight skills sound pretty overpowered at the moment (from the Alpha) but I'm not worried as they'll be getting balancing before release more than likely.

I'm in the F&F Alpha for WOTLK, I can't disclose any details but it's shaping up very nicely so far imo, way better than TBC was for the zones/quests

p.s just taking it easy not rushing through it, don't wanna completely ruin everything for release :)

Doesn't the NDA/EULA for the F&F Alpha say you aren't allowed to tell people you're in the Alpha, I'm pretty sure it does :p
