ordered a ref gigabyte 7970 from another retailer for £269.99 its just arrived and to surprise they have sent me a windforce3 7950:mad::mad: now i've requested an RMA number but i'm very impatient and now thinking about just using 7950 alongside my 7970... from what i can tell i will probably have to wait a week to get the 7950 replaced with 7970

what should i do?

I know where you got that from and i had a feeling it was too good to be true. It just didn't make sense. You reckon they will actually send you a 7970 without charging you the extra? I almost went for two of those myself, glad i didn't now.

i'm not sure, i phoned them up and asked if they where in stock he said they had none in store but they where in the warehouse... it indeed is a very good deal which is why i jumped at it. going to ring them again now and get them to confirm price and stock is correct

just got off the phone with them they said the price is correct and they have 30 in stock... "its on special offer to clear stock" take that with a pinch of salt. the card they sent me is £10 cheaper and its not reference design so i cant fit a waterblock grrrrrrrr...!

might as well try your luck, dont act like you think the price is wrong, if they say anything just cancel the order, you never know, they might just take it on the chin and let you have it at a reduced cost for the trouble!

yeah when requesting RMA never mentioned anything about price.. just that they sent me the wrong product.

i see the card is advertised on well know auction site for £281 search for Gigabyte Gv-R797D5-3Gd-B

Amazing, some people:eek:

i am indeed thanks :D

i poped into a local store today and picked up a msi 7970, sending the 7950 back for refund after reading there feeback on auction site. i would avoid this retailer at all costs. best to stick with ocuk lesson learnt!

msi twin frozr III 7970, i have big scaling problems in bf3 grrr gpu usage is 30% on each card! feels choppy as hell

1080p 120hz, all settings low apart from mesh(ultra) basicaly want to keep a constant 121fps.. a single 7970 does a good job with those settings but does drop in to 80s.. thats why i wanted another card

i'm not bothered about gpu usage.. its the fps i get more stable and lower minimum fps with 1 7970!

2 x 7970 should be able to keep a constant 121fps at those settings i've seen video on youtube fully maxed settings with pretty much 120 fps constant

already got those settings in user cfg :D

coming out of US deployment in a tank on 64player karkand drove down to A not much happening my fps is 75!
