Wrong graphics card sent

My second 7950 just turned up i will see if i get the same problem.

What settings are you using ?

maybe so but still getting worse performance then a single 7970

There is no "maybe so" - that's what negative scaling is: worse performance with 2 cards than 1.

Turn your settings up. It's extremely difficult to maintain 120 FPS in BF3 due to driver/engine issues. I call it issues but that's not technically true.

Also there's no real massive benefit it maintaining a solid 120 FPS. Having 80-120 won't feel all that different to sold 120. It's a common misconception that you need 120 FPS to benefit from a 120 Hz screen. The massive improvement you get comes from the monitor as opposed to running 120 FPS locked.

Well im just re-installing drivers and ill have a bash myself.

In other news Rusty the 2nd 7950 is 64% asic and does 1200 on stock voltage with no artifacts.

Had a 30 minute game of firestorm. 2700k @4.5 7950 crossfire at 1172/1563, fps around 75-140+. This was at 1440p Ultra preset with AAx4. I'd say average fps were around 90-100+. Gpu usage was around 90-99%, though it was rarely constant at 99% more like 95-98% most of the time. No microstutter at all, not even a hint. This was at default settings, not using RadeonPro, vsync off.

wont be happy if u get more then 30% usage at my settings lol

40-50% usage on both gpu's. Fps 200-120, smooth but ugly as hell. I put everything at lowest or off apart from mesh which was at ultra, fov 75 1080p.

have you used radeon pro at all?

No but i do normally. Try using RadeonPro. Create a profile for BF3 and set the flip que size to 1. Delete your user.cfg and make sure vsync is off. See how that works for you.

i think you guys where right, they pulled the 7970 from there website yesterday despite still saying they where in stock 20+... maybe just a mistake but the fact they sent me 7950 in the first place with out contacting me says otherwise... avoid this company for future reference.

i have been refunded.
