my cat drinks from the tap, he refuses to drink from a bowl.
It's either the tap or a watering can.

I had to stay outside with my youngest cat for an hour. Then after that she went out in gradually increasing periods until she was used to it.

Yes mate, I came into the bathroom the other night to find him sat under the running bath taps, as I say ,WTF is it with my Cat? :confused:

Nothing. He's just grown up that way and not really been encouraged outside before now really. It'll take time.

Have to understand he's just not used to it. Imagine if you spent most of your life inside a house. Not only psycologically are you going to be outside your bubble outside of that house but that there are other cats around he's never met before.

I imagine he's not staking his territory or anything like that yet, although he knows instinctively that he should, therefore he simply doesn't want it yet. Literally. He will do eventually so long as every opportunity is extended to him to be outside when he wants to be. Also there is no cat flap on the back door of the house, so the only time he can get out is when the window is open with someone at home.

These factors I'm certain confuse him more than if he had fair access 24/7 with or without anyone present.

****ing it down here atm, opened the back door to put the rubbish out and the Cats gone out too!

It must be a water thing!

Needless to say he was not out long and came back in to use his litter tray.
