I didnt want to start a whole new thread about the moon, but a few days back me and a friend both noticed the moon looked double its usual size, however when we came out of the shop 10minutes later it was normal again. Freaky.

When the moon is close to the horizon it appears larger because you have a reference to give you some sense of scale.
When high in the sky you don't.

It's actually always the same size.
