Got all the lights off here and a candle on the window sill. Checked outside for all the other houses on the street. Loads of lights on, no candles.

Respect to all 16 odd million human beings that lost their lives during this dreadful period of history, many after enduring dreadful hardships and things we should be grateful we will hopefully never have to endure.

It doesn't matter what you turn off. Lights, laptop, whatever.
The point is to spare a thought for those who died- how you do this up to you. The important bit is that you do it.
In the spirit of quiet and dignified remembrance, two groups of drunk meatheads in the pub beer garden across the road are fighting about which group has 'more respect' for the soldiers of the Great War. Unbelievable...
