Got all the lights off here and a candle on the window sill. Checked outside for all the other houses on the street. Loads of lights on, no candles.

In the spirit of quiet and dignified remembrance, two groups of drunk meatheads in the pub beer garden across the road are fighting about which group has 'more respect' for the soldiers of the Great War. Unbelievable...

Was a humbling event to say the least. You never really stop to think of the impact the Great War had on the soldiers, families and civilians until you go to something like this or hear extracts from ex military personnel!
