WWDC 2014

Spotlight becomes Alfred?

Was thinking just that. Not sure I'm a fan. I like the fact Spotlight does not dominate my screen.

Dark mode is very, very welcome though.

I'm on a 2011 air, hoping it can manage the new graphics without too much slowdown.

Thats my 2008 alu macbook screwed. It won't be able to handle OSX Yosemite's use of gpu for transparency etc, though I doubt the machine will be supported full stop.

What will be the minimum dedicated GPU it'll likely require?

I think this has been fantastic so far. Probably most useful for iOS as it should make everything more flexible.

Dropbox killer.
Not at all if we're talking about features. If we take out web app capabilities (such as Google Docs combined with Google Drive, OneDrive with Office 365) Dropbox is certainly the most powerful service out there for file management. Restoration of old files, versioning, LAN syncing, multiple platforms, etc.

This said, I'll probably start using it if the integration between iOS and OS X is as good as it appears to be.

The interesting thing to me so far with regards to workflow is while Windows/Android are focusing on multitasking on a single device, Apple with 'Continuity' and other announced features appear to be promoting the opposite i.e. working on a single task across multiple devices.
