WWDC XIII Event. Tonight 6pm

I don't understand, I keep reading comments about 'quick reply'.

At the moment, I see a message, I tap in the box, type and tap 'send'. I don't see how it could be any quicker.

This... however they have implemented the quick reply on OS X. I guess some people want the functionality to send a message from the lock screen? (I would be against this... if my phone is locked, I want it locked!)

Even from the lock screen, it's a single swipe on the notification and you're at the message ready to type - how could it be any quicker?

Yes you may have to put your PIN in to unlock but that's your decision.

If anyone is nice enough to register my UDID I'd be grateful.

I'm running Mavericks, the smooth scrolling is nice but a lot of stuff does not seem to be included just yet but I only had a quick play before work.

When is this likely to be available on the ipad? I have the last one with the old connector (3rd one?)

Anyone successfully restored their iPhone 5 from iOS 7 to iOS 6.1.4 ?

You going back already? Sure it will be fine to downgrade back if need be, I have never had a problem on any beta despite Apple saying otherwise.

Haven't given it a proper going over yet. seen a few UI glitches here and there but seems OK so far, certainly no show stopping bugs and my most used apps work fine.

Animations do seem slow as mentioned above, though I was jailbroken before with fakeclockup installed so that sped things up a fair amount!

And we're off:

Very impressed so far. No bugs of note, just a couple of minor glitches.

All apps I've tried are working.

It's even updated and kept all my settings without issue; I might wipe it though anyway.

I found it glitchy in remembering settings at first but seems fine now. No issues from the apps I have tried.

Will only get better in time :)

Gone back to 6 lots of apps no working iphone 5
ebay , app, softphone, camrea keeps frezzing as well
This is why I'm not interested in using a beta product. It's going to have bugs, it's going to have performance issues and I'd rather wait until it's officially released to the masses and these problems are ironed out.

I have to wonder why AirDrop is only supported on certain devices, for example the only iPhone it will work on is the iPhone 5. I'm surprised and disappointed that it won't work on the 4S as it would be very handy to exchange photographs with my daughter who has my previous phone.

Yeah I can't find a reason why it wouldn't be supported which is a shame since the 4S isn't very old really :(

I'm hoping the jailbreak groups are looking into the code - but not to jailbreak but to find hidden features - I'm looking at you "iWallet" :p

Marketing!

Of course they'll restrict one or two new features to the latest handsets. It's not a question of whether the older models are technically capable of it, just that they want to push sales a bit by restricting some things.

I have no issue with this at all - makes good business sense. Btw I have a 4S.

I know the reason is because they're only supporting the latest phones but my point was I wouldn't class the 4S as very old and it should have been supported in my opinion.

It's all a bit......different. Very very early impressions are up on RedmondPie. I'll be posting something more in-depth tonight.

No crashing apps yet, but I'm not sold on the interface. Odd problem where emails don't have previews in Notification Centre even though it's turned on, too.
