WWDC XIII Event. Tonight 6pm

Thanks a lot MrB. Much appreciated and very generous. Will leave it overnight for the registration and crack on with the installation tomorrow.

oh sure. i can imagine its fun learning that stuff. its just silly that something gets rejected because it doesnt show off the hardware / software enough ( if im reading that right ). just seems exceptionally silly to me.

yep you read it right. So be it. I didn't appeal just stopped developing the app as it wasn't something I expected to go live. It had things like fish types, pond locations, ticket prices, contact info, call buttons, sms buttons, club rules, club meeting/match dates e.t.c.

i think i remember it from the past gone by

ahhh seems im suffering from the unable to register. must be a busy evening for apple.

ive always thought about having a crack at learning app stuff. how hard would you say. only coding i can do is html / css stuff. pretty basic

Objective C is a very strange language at first glance and takes influence from many other languages, such as Smalltalk and C/C++. It's getting easier all the time though with each iteration of Xcode and the LLVM compiler. The problem is tutorials you can find online quickly become out of date, but the ones that are there are usually very well written.

Also, and this is me just being picky, HTML/CSS isn't coding :p

Well even if you aren't good at coding, elements such as UI design and navigation are just as important in app development these days - play to your strengths. Very few people are good at everything, but as a team you are definitely greater than the sum of individuals. I'm sure there are enough hobbyist programmers on this forum to get something going :D

Thanks again MrBell, it's loads better in the flesh. I was thinking it looked a bit stock androidy in the still but its actually pretty nice in the flesh.

Anyone got issues with the time not finding the correct timezone (and in turn bit setting to BST)? Seems to be constantly searching on mine which may have an effect on battery life and heat.

Edit: It's also taking ages to copy my music across.

Are better updates usually a piece of string or do can they come round pretty quickly? Coming from android though, this is like a GM release :D

I read somewhere last night that the icons and some colour elements are temp solutions designed by the marketing team and Ive and his team will be working on it throughout the beta period, for those concerned

Ive took over six months ago and there's another three months until release. I'm expecting plenty of changes before iOS 7 is released.
