I want to connect to X-Box Live but my internet connection is in a different room to where my X-Box is, and I don't really want to have wires going from one room to another. Is there a way to wirelessly connect to the internet from a different room?

Hi,

You need to get the official wireless adaptor for the 360 (usb device) or an Wieless Ethernet Bridge.

Official adaptor will be a doddle to setup and just plugs into the USB port of your 360 and you use the dashboard to enter all the settings to connect to your wifi. £50-55 quid

The Bridge will be a small box that looks like a small hub. An Ethernet cable from your 360 will plug into this, and then this little box will wirelessly connect to your wifi. To configure it you will need to connect to it via Ethernet and access its settings through a web page (much like you would change your adsl/cable router settings. Also you would need one extra mains power point to power this device. £40-50

This is all assuming you have some sort of broadband (adsl/cable) with a wireless router or access point in the house, that you can already connect other devices to.

p.s. I am unsure if your thread title could be any more vague :D

You probably just suck at wireless :p

My 360 is fine wireless, my PC's suck anus but I think it's the cheap dongles I'm using.

Noe :/

I use wireless on my pc. Works well with gaming etc.. just not when people leech of it :|

Right now my 360 is going through PC, then using Wireless > internet

I would just run a wire to be honest, for a start the 360 wireless adaptor is around £50

Aye, I run my wire from my living room to my Kitchen (where my (wireless) router is), neatly tuck the wire by the edge drill a tiny hole through. Cost me £5 for a 20m Cat5 wire.

£5 vs £50

You do the maths :)
