X-Factor 2012

Actually have been watching but only because the band I used to manage are through to boot camp (and got through).

Otherwise...show is dreadful.

Wish they had given Scary Spice the judges role full time not that dodgy schweziger bird as she is a legend.

Scary Spice said it, as she saw it.
I've noticed that many auditionees tend to get the, "Oh my god, you are so good...I'm going to cry! You are already a star and if you released a single today it would become the biggest selling single of all time!"

Now, we all know that even if you win the competition (let alone get through 1 audition), stardom is not guaranteed.

BTW, what happened to the painter/decorator who won 2 years ago?
I think he was in Cher Lloyd's year.
At the time I said that he would go the same route as Steve Brookstein, mainly because there simply wasn't a big market which he could target. In the commercial World, the target market has to be the teenage girl market. Cher Lloyd and even Little Mix appear to have been accepted by this demographic.

EDIT: just checked:
X Factor curse hits Matt Cardle

This show is great, thats until all that boot camp ********. I would love to see the ratings of this show just to see how many people just stop watching half way through the season.

Say what you want about X-Factor, but there is some amazing raw talent to be found on that show. Watch from 2:34.

EDIT - Listened to it 5 times now, i'd actually buy the single tomorrow. Brings me out in goosebumps.

It appears to be that the xfactor has had its day. If it takes a break for 5 years and comes back everyone will probably love it again

I'm not really into that type of song.
I'm not sure if he will even make it into the live finals.
Even if he won, I doubt he would be resigned after the first year as he has no commercial appeal. His best bet might be to sign up with an indie label.

I believe that xfactor is currently the highest rated show on UK TV.

Would you care to state why you think xfactor has had its day?

It's the same thing every year. It's obvious that the bad auditions are shown for 'entertainment' purposes and everyone knows it (or at least they should). Even though they dropped the sob stories, the formula is the same (get put though and scream, get told no and the contestant hurls abuse at the judges, also for entertainment purposes). The judges also aren't as good as they used to be.

Almost every single audition still has a sob story behind it.

I'm homeless, boohoo.
I'm the "producer" and third wheel in our group, boohoo.
I'm a single father, boohoo.

The girlfriend loves it, but I try to avoid it wherever possible, mainly because it's utter drivel, but also because she would kill me if she caught me perving over Tulisa :D

Should kill yourself for perving over that horrible ****

Can't stand the x-factor.

To be honest, I think it's mostly aimed at girls anyway. Since after this trash is over, it heads straight for the 'OMG' trash weeklies aimed at women anyway. You won't see this in a Men's Health or magazines with men as their target market.

Most of my ex's used to watch this too. As inexplicable to me then as it is now.

... that Britney Spears attention whore who was just on throwing her body all over Loui

LMAO, Just watched her on YouTube.

Highlights for me....

Dermot was interviewing her and he asks what she does and she repies "Entertainer and Britney Spears impresenator". He then asks what the "entertaining" side of things means. "This & that, you know, ducking and diving, wheeling and dealing" then Dermot asks "Erm. Singing????" in a worried 'please dont say hooker, please dont say stripper, please dont say escort' voice.

Next funny bit is her all over Louis, then trying it with Tulisa who moves out of the way and says hell no, then Gary actually legs into into the crowd!

LMAO

Singing was awful, it was not too bad to watch once I'd muted it but even then I couldn't watch it all
