Testing out macro.

Eye of the tiger...

Curious but what advantages does this have over say a mirrorless camera (micro 4/3's/A6000 etc) with a small 35mm equivalent lens?

Compared to m4/3, there's the obvious image quality difference (APS-C vs. m4/3 sensor size). In general, the X100/t/s is (in most cases) smaller, has quick and simple physical controls, has both an optical and electronic viewfinder, the shutter is virtually silent, and the leaf shutter allows flash sync I think up to the fastest shutter speed (1/4000). It pretty much distills photography into the most simple experience - one lens, quick direct exposure controls and a viewfinder.

If I could have only 1 camera it'd be my X100.

In fact as of next month it will be my only camera. It's a fantastic piece of kit - amazing image quality, well made, simple to use & you don't have to worry about "oh, have I got this lens/that accessory" all the time.

It has a built in ND filter too!
