x1600?

how is the x1600 so much slower than the 7600GT, hardware wise there almost identical but i would expect the ATI to be faster cause of that fancy 256-bit ringbus business, they both have 12 pixel processors, 5 vertex processor and 8 ROPs i believe, both have 128-bit memory interface with high memory clock speed (x1600 has 256-bit ringbus thing) and hell the x1600xt is core clock is higher, is the x1600xt really a bad card or is it stricty a software problem, ie. the hardware available not being used efficiently like the drivers?
 
is the X1600XT any good then, say compaired to 6800GS and 7600GT, looks it on paper, but it doesn't always work out as well as they hoped
 
6800GS out of the equation is old now and the 7600GT is its replacement, it all come down to what brand you prefer ATI ot NV i would say the 7600GT and the X1600XT are pretty much on par with each other, although there are some slite differences like the 7600GT has dual link DVI and the X1600XT has a 256MB mem bus, you choose
i would go with the 7600GT as its a great OCer but thats just my opinion

i have a AGP 6800 LE 128 I wont to take it to next step on the AGP side for last time. any ider. was looking at the Sapphire X1600 Pro 512MB DDR2 me self. is it werth it.!?

I Love my 1600XT! :D

Dont get sucked into the 'pro' side of things... pro doesn't necessarily stand for professional y'know ;)

The x1600 pro is rubbish, depends what your budget is really. :)
 
ATI Radeon X800

Thort of going for the PowerColor ATI Radeon X800 GTO 256MB DDR3 at 117.44 is it werth the step up from my A-Open 6800 LE 128 for my last AGP, before i go over to PSI E. I doint wont to spend a lot on the AGP now. :) any ider advice. thanks.
