We live in a world dominated by some fairly uncaring and cynical people and I am proud to see my preferred retailer (and a successful one besides), even with reluctance, help the victim out. Cos lets face it, it's not his fault he fell for a cold hard marketing exercise; if it was then we'd have to accept all levels of con-artistry as ultimately the fault of the victim.
I would have to agree with you there, and its also a fair point to say that companies have to take the rough with the smooth, as they also BENEFIT from the cold hard marketing, on products that do live up to and beyond what their specs are, with no sales pitch needed from themselves!

although that could probably be likened to taking in a stray dog it seems!
