Im looking to build a new computer in the near future which one of these graphics cards would be the best for me to get? I will be overclocking which ever one I got. Which one would you reccomend and why?

Thanks in advance

So its worth the extra then? Im sure i read somewhere that the 7900gs overclocks better and when oveclocked out performs the 1800xt, is this true?

Thanks

not that im aware of, unless of course it involves a volt mod in which case it is dangerous and invalidates your cover. the X1800XT is powerful at stock, clocks very well and you can have HDR + AA unlike Nvidia based cards. plus you get better image quality and the failure rate is lower.

Yeah a stock X1800XT will take a stock 7900gs apart, and even with a good overclock on the 7900gs you'll barely exceed a stock X1800XT. If you overclock the X1800XT you'll put most of that lead back in there.
