X1900 Temps Running 3D Mark 2006

Looks like you could have a problem. Try running the performance test in Fear not sure if you can loop it. Running at 1920x1200 on mine really pushes the card hard. The fan really cranks up just like the last test in 3D mark 2006.

grapthics processor status
requested 621mhz

current vpu clock:500mhz

grapthics memory status
requested 721mhz

current memory clock :594mhz

thats what came up after installing the drivers.

psu is a thermaltake pure power 500watts
Theres your problem i'd say, i have found thermaltake psu's to be overated and lacking the juice needed to run a watercooling system, fans etc especially with a card that can draw over 400w just by itself

nope the psu is fine ,i got a total watts display with it @ most watts in 3dmark 06 the watts got upto 250watts & downs again

i ran 3d mark06 all the way to the end ,i got 4854

the temps only got upto 55 -60c with the fan on 100%

Looks like its overheating. I would get an RMA and send it back.

if u go to the link on me above post at the bottom it happend to him the temps he said
Idle temperatures were around 54 - 57'C while idle. Under load they went to around 69'C. thats about right same as mine

as for me pc resetting i think its was the ram ,the voltage was 260 when it should have been 275.

So your load temps under 3D mark 2006 are 69'c ?

as anybody taken the top off the card to see the chip layout ,i going to put a waterblock on it
i got a wide block to cover the chips aswell.

OK. What temps do you get with the fan on auto? Did you not say it failed to complete the test with the fan on auto ?

ok i just ran the tests aaaaagain this time with the fan on auto ..

the watts went upto 207watts & down to 20 ,175 like that
temp went to 67 -88cmax

pc did not show a blue screen & reset

with the fan on full 100% it goto 55c max

so i'm almost shaw it was the ram ..running on low volts ,
its a common thing blue screen with white text befor resetting with ram

i havent had a x1800 but it is the same layout i think. I have put a MAze 4 GPU block on the card (make sure with the acetal top for the 4 hole installation). I got some copper memory blocks to put on too and the card overclock to something like 750 on the core was running at aboout 50C on full load after the comp had been on 24/7 for 3 days

havent tried to push the core further yet

also this is a pic of an x1800 but it looks like this:
