X1900 Temps Running 3D Mark 2006

i havent had a x1800 but it is the same layout i think. I have put a MAze 4 GPU block on the card (make sure with the acetal top for the 4 hole installation). I got some copper memory blocks to put on too and the card overclock to something like 750 on the core was running at aboout 50C on full load after the comp had been on 24/7 for 3 days

havent tried to push the core further yet

also this is a pic of an x1800 but it looks like this:

ah -brill now i can see the chips .i think me 6800gt waterblock might work
cheers bananaman

hi all -well i done it. i put me waterblock on me ati x1900xt ,this block also covers all the ram ,i just reused the ram pads ,put arctic silver 5 on the GPU .cleaned the other crap off first. now temp is 28c idel ...befor with the fan 54c idel.

(Alphacool NexXxoS NVXP-3 6800/7800) is ment for the geforce 6800/7800
but!! i must say it almost fits asgood on the x1900xt as it fits on the 6800/7800. only thing is u cant use the outer scews cos the holes dont line up ...put the 4 holes around the gpu fit fine ..fits nice & snug ..just at to make sure i did not over tite them.

NO MORE NOISE FROM FAN ASWELL)

Just reserated mine with the standard Reserator cheap block. Temps are around 50'c under load and I can max out the card 690/800. Very pleased. See all it needed was a bit of water :D

Finaly got this thing past the CCC limits. 06>6199 05>12292

ATI tool 0.25b12b
1) Disable Ati Hotkey Poller in service.msc
2) Set voltages in ATITool to vgpu 1.4, mvddc 2.079, mvddq 2.079, vddci 1.486
3) Fan control to dynamic.

I found dropping the memory voltage actually made it more stable, weird. All on air.

Nice score m8! Interesting. What drivers are you using?

I can only get around 5700 with mine clocked 690/800 and X2 running at 2.65. Wonder if the x1900 is bottlenecked on the memory? Can't see how a difference of +3 on the core would account for this. X1900 bottlenecked on the memory and they are using 1.1 memory chips that are running underspec, ummm. Perhaps there is reason behind the madness after all. A bios update which would be guaranteed to work with a nice boost in performance. Might be worth checking what the delta's are for increase in core against increase in memory with regard to performance.

hi,

I have 2 x1900 in crossfire, I have downloaded the ati tool, however I keep getting this error message when i try to change or optimise.

The video card you have selected for overclocking in ATITool does not seem to be used by windows.

Visual testing has been disabled

To fix this go to Display Properties and enable the monitor output of the card.

Is it because I have 2 cards?

Thanks
Raja

Just done a few loops of 06 with a Reserator + on the x1900xtx and FX55 @2.8

GPU
Idle 38
Load 63

Quiet impressed with the reserator so far as the FX55 is the red hot Clawhammer version and it seems to handle the X1900XTX fine aswell

Nice one

hi,

running 2 cards, but don't know how to see the different tempratures of each card. catalyst shows me the temp of the master card only I think.....

thanks

Ok 80's isn't ideal, but its not uncommon or unsafe, the cards are rated to handle 105 before its at the limit, I believe the fan speed doesn't set to 100% until it hits 90+ ... Ati wouldnt ship them out like that if it wasn't safe :)
