Not because of the Nvidia vs. ATI thing lol.LoadsaMoney said:Nope, easyrider has had ATi cards before, im sure he had an x1900, but got the 7900 as it was quieter etc...![]()
I mean because he's been getting on my case about how a 7950GX2 is a much better buy than an X1950XT-X for two days.

LoadsaMoney said:ill take these results with a pinch of salt, for starters the article states drivers used were 6.7 beta's, yet the Official's have been out donks.
sunlitsix said:maybe he put beta int he review because they had to mod the 6.7's to support the X1950?
unless they were already supported that is

Gibbo said:Yes but the performance benefits are pretty huge. Were talking 15-25% performance boost with maximum eye candy at high resolutions.
Is this not where we all crave for extra performance? I certainly think it is!
The price will be in the £250-£300+VAT range at OcUK and its looking like OcUK may have complete exclusivity on the launch in the UK of this product.![]()

it must have made a good impression. Still, best to wait until the deluge of reviews from the more established sites later this month before making any definitive judgements.YES I GET MY GCSE RESULTS AROUND THAT DAYGibbo said:HI there
You will be able to order the X1950 XTX real soon from OcUK. We've pulled of quite an impressive deal with ATI which means we will have over 90% of UK allocation and you will be able to get it from OcUK as early as the 23rd August or possibly earlier.
Yes it really is a fast card. We all know how fast an X1900 XTX is so just do the maths, add 500MHz memory speeds that based on faster GDDR4 and you can work it out for yourself that this card will be a serious performer at high resolution with AA/AF+HDR maxed out.
Plus OcUK well be selling for approx £285ish +VAT quite a good price for ATI's latest top of the line product. X1900 XTX will disapear and X1900 XT 512 will remain at current prices of £175-£200+VAT, absolute bargains when you consider how fast the damn things are.![]()
