Rusty_Noob said:Have you checked the ram? If its Samsung BJ11 its 1.1 and I know early Connect3d X1900XT's did ship with 1.1, you've already mentioned that you dont run any cooling on them hence why u may not be able to push as far as you could.
mortals said:Just had a quick go at clocking my Connect3D X1900XT 256mb, put it to XT-X clocks. Seems to be hitting 55°C atm tho![]()
Not sure if that's good or badI set the fan up to custom tho as it didn't seem to run the fan up very much at all on defaults.

ok here is my 3dm05 score. guess i need more cpu power.
iv put the vf-900cu cooler on the card now. max load temps in articaft tester go up to 68c. zalman is spinning at full speed.
core 625mhz @ 1.300v
ram is at 850mhz stock volts.
also note that the ram chips are running bare. thats right they have no cooling whatso ever on them other than the hot air blowing over them from the vf900cu. after major 3dm05 loops and rthdribl running for ages i touch the ram modules and they are barely warm. looks like the stock cooler is a big negative since it just dumps its heat into the ram modules.
reason i got no sinks on the ram is because i put the ones that came with the vf900cu on my 7600gt. and too risky to remove them when i sold the card so just let them go.
will grab some thermaltake copper ramsinks tomorrow and slap them on next time i open the case up.
shocked the ram has gone so high, its just samsung 1.2ns stuff. could try to go higher on the ram at some other point but looks like the returns in performance is diminishing.
need better cooling on the gpu core, then will try and go higher on it at some point.

megatron said:So unless Im mistaken u have a 3Ghz opteron single core, running an x1900xt at above stock and get 10k+. Check my sig I have a 2.7Ghz single core opteron, x1900xt @ stock; and get 11k+.
Oh and xp32 vs your xp64bit.
Rob43 said:It looks like artifacts, have you tried dropping your card clocks back down a bit ?
