X670 AORUS ELITE AX wont boot when I restart the PC

Bad news, I have rebuilt the PC with the new 7900x and the exatly the same fault is still happening :(

So I can only think the board is faulty and they just tried the board once and it worked and ignored everything I said about it happening after it's been on for a while or the board dosen't like 7900x CPU's

What a nightmare , sounds very strange , i think the 7900x has been supported since release on this board , you already tried one stick of ram didnt you ?

Yes and a different set of ram, I have just ordered a ASUS ROG Strix X670E-F and see how that goes. I can use the other board for my son's build later on in the year

Planning to use a 7600 or 7700 in it

Another update, installed the ASUS board over the weekend and it's been working fine.

I have called the motherboard supplier again and told them it's the board, they need to test the board for longer and not do a standard boot test. When checking the board as the fault only happens after it's been on a while and only happens intermittently.

I put a note in the motherboard box for the tester, explaining the best way to get the fault. It obviously work and I asked them not to do a standard boot test

I have X670 Aorus Elite, and most of the time when I restart the PC. Say after a driver update or you have just turned it off and forgot to do something and need to turn it back on it just hangs when it's doing the bios checks and go's no further. I originally thought it was doing the memory checks, but it just stops and does nothing else. I have even left it for an hour after the problem occurred, to see if it was the system doing the memory check and it did nothing. I have used 2 different memory kits on it, G.Skill Trident z5 6000 cl32 expo and Kingston Fury Beast 6000 cl40 which are on the motherboard QVL and they both have the same problem. Even reinstalled windows and used a different graphics card and the problem still happens. Update the bios multiple times and it is currently on the latest bios, reset the bios to the stock optimal settings and still the fault happens.

Also if I turn the PC off for say 20 minutes after having this problem, then turn it back on it boots up fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

If not I'm going to look into RMA with the supplier.
having exactly the same problem here with the same system. Blinky black screen in BIOS, sometimes red lined startup screen, random crashed black screen on desktop... Asked the shop to change my Motherboard with another one(Asus Rog Z790 maybe), but they rejected it although I just bought it yesterday. It doesnt sound to be something you can fix. But they said they will try it. Such a disappointment, paying so much for what?

Sorry to hear your having the same problem, yes theirs no way to fix it. I also found the problem got worse over time, hope it gets sorted in the end.

I buy all my PC parts online now as it's easier to send back, unlike a shop.
