so tempting to purchase the asrock x870e phantom nova wifi motherboard ready for the 9800x3d.. never had asrock before so dont know what they are like. the 8000expo failed on hub video so abit off putting.. should that be a issue to think about or am i being too fussy. as only one im thinking is great for performance is the aorus master which is almost £500! where the asrock nova is £330..... mayb need to wait for further benchmarking when the 9800x3d drops

We won't know for sure until the CPU comes out, but there are two things I'd keep in mind:
- The X3D CPUs are typically far less sensitive to memory speed than other CPUs, due to the huge cache.
- There's little benefit from running 8000, compared to a decent 6000-6400 kit anyway.

It is possible that future CPUs might have better memory controllers that push the average clocks higher, but it is not something I'd worry about.

ive also been looking at the gigabyte x870e aorus elite wifi7 £289 and looks fairly decent.

There's so little benefit to 8000mhz RAM that is not really all that important and I doubt it'll be relevant for quite a while

The Nova is a great board for the money, you get 5 M.2 slots which don’t share lanes with the gpu, 23 phase 110Amp VRM, quick release on the pcie x16 and M.2, post code debug, premium ALC4082 audio and the board even has a metal backplate.

Sounds like a great board if you can get one. Ordered on overclockers when it was showing in stock on the 7th at the same time as getting a 9800x3d. Still waiting. Seems out of stock everywhere though.

same thing. When i ordered 9800x3d Nova was in stock, but turned out to be not...so still waiting for MB :)

I'm starting to think these are just AI generated photos and the board doesn't exist. Here's hoping we will see it despatched soon
She's beautiful. Can't wait to build my new system
Its a stealthy looking board no frills kind of deal but certainly packing some nice tech.
Very nice heavy weight board, backplate is nice addition gives some support in my build as its fitted into a mATX case with no board supports on the lower half. The VRM fans kick on boot up but is silent in running and after they have heated up.
Certainly put my board through its paces - 4K gaming every night on Black Ops 6 MP everything maxed out to the balls at 120hz this really puts the system under some load and its been flawless. :)
