Your probably grabbing the metal bit which is attached to motherboard (the latch mechanism itself). I was meant to be ez...but it's not. I have different issue. Installed my 3080 with gen 4 riser which I know 100% is gen4 and 16x as ive removed it from my old system, and I'm getting gpu working on 8x....I haven't updated the bios yet, hope that's the case... I know for fact the pcie switching is not the issue for this particular board (that wss the reason I've picked it up)Oh my lord. Anyone had issues with the blazing m2 socket. Cannot get the heat sink off with this everso convenient quick release.
The clasp on mine is a bit dodgy it seems, found an an unboxing and mine doesn't work that smoothly. Got there in the end. Have you tried just skipping the riser all together to test?Your probably grabbing the metal bit which is attached to motherboard (the latch mechanism itself). I was meant to be ez...but it's not.
