Oh gosh.
Both evga and matx?
Dream come true for me.
I love evga, half my rig is from them :-)
I just hope bios will be working well on release.
Took some time before they made Z87 bioses usable. ( think it was 1.07 in my Z87 Classy ).

And I was planning to build a matx rig next time - now I can :-)

I just hope that EK or XSPC makes the blocks for this board, as they completely ignored z87.

Ps. Now I have to buy another CaseLabs case.... :-)

Straight from the horse's mouth about EVGA BIOS:

I feel that the BIOS today is the strongest that it has ever been since we started motherboards... yes after the industry transitioned to EFI there was a bit of a learning curve, in particular around X79 launch. Z77 was an improvement, but not until Z87 was there pretty significant improvements where we spent nearly a full year on a complete redesign. Z97 improved upon that and so did X99.

So far the feedback that we have heard has been great, but of course make sure to check out the reviews or try it yourself if you are able to. Goal is to have multiple reviews on launch day.

Block wise there is a EVGA forum member (Nateman Doo) who does great custom blocks that perform really well. And yes, you need another CaseLabs case :D

As long as bios will be minimum same quality as 1.07 Z87, I will be happy.
The ssd and usb 3.0 problems were annoying.

ps. This black pcb makes me think about white theme :-). Panda inc :-) I hope the release will be soon, I can't wait.

Some great looking boards here. I think X99 is such an exciting new power users platform.
I know mate you dont game yourself, but is X99 worth moving over to from Z87 and dc 4790k with sli 3gb 780. Ill be honest, ive found both ib and haswell i7 a bit dissapointing compared to X58 that i came from. Im thinking the full blown x16 pcie would be better with sli. Probably not by a big lot at my current res of 1920x1200, but ill be going to a higher res monitor soon.

Stulid, where's this white ASUS then? :D.

And I happen to think the X79-Deluxe is a nice looking board! :p

+1 some great boards in here. Can't wait to upgrade! Actually that's a lie I can, it's a ball ache but worth it :D

I won't be getting it but it's still damn exciting!

can't say I've been overly impressed so far. the only ones that looked alright to me were the EVGA ones

Those are very nice features.
But I still prefer evga :-)
Unless they do something ugly with the mATX board.
I just hope they won't be late for the release.
The more competitors, the better for us, end-users :-)
By the way, I don't think we can speculate about prices yet.
I think that the platform will be selling like hot cakes, but maybe they will restrict stock to control prices too.
I bought my Z87 Classy for 330£ here at OCuk.
I would say X99 Classy will cost 400-450, X99 FTW around 350 and X99 mATX around 250-300. Don't quote me on that, I don't have any secret sources, it is just a guess :-)

The pics I put up above are retail models. In the US the m-ATX will be $250, the FTW will be $280 and the Classified will be $400. So it (Classy) should be about 300-350 pounds for you guys.
