ok so thats 5 red/black(plus all the rog boards), 2 black, 1 yellow/black, an orange/black (that will be way out of my budget), 1 gold/black
the 2 boards that would fit what im looking for are the asus x99 deluxe or the asrock blue one except youre saying the asus isnt gold and i wouldnt touch asrock again if you paid me. looks like it could be asus x79 deluxe and 4820k then dead socket or not it will last me a few years.

I am holding off upgrading until the tech has settled down and since I am with an XPOWER 2 and a 3960x cpu- I see very little point in upgrading to be honest.

It was always going to be a stopgap. Had the III and IV boards at launch, can't keep X99 waiting so onwards and upwards.

One of the reason I like them so much.
And superb clocking cards too (love my 780s).

The rainforest was well behind in stock on the Z87 and z97 release so I would assume the same for x99
