XB1 Or PS4 Controller ?

i have no experience with the ds controllers on the pc, but have some feedback for the xbox controllers.

xbox 360 - works flawless on windows 7, 8, 10 etc. verry durable, slightly heavier than the xbone controller. has mushy buttons. Mine has never skipped a beat.

Xbox one - requires a micro usb cable on windows 7 and 8.

the cable provided is a bad design and many people report it keeps disconnecting/reconnecting. Just get a 99p un-official cable on the bay.

If you are on w10, you can get the wireless dongle. although overpriced, it works.

there are also several reports of analogue drift which i also suffered after just 1 week. (either replace the switch yourself or get it replaced under warrenty)

I still recommend it, its not bad when it works. maybe others are lucky and i just got an early revision.
With battery's added, it weights about the same as a wireless pad.
Im not hating on it, just stating my experience with it. i expect all controllers suffer such issues here and there.

360 or xbone are good choices though, especially for native support.

Has to be xbox one controller with wireless dongle, native support is a massive help with on screen buttons.

The steam controller is also worth looking at, although if you play a lot of third person games I would stick with the xbox one controller. First person, strategy and racing I would say steam controller.

I used to rock my 360 pad over the DS3, but then when I got my PS4 the DS4 is waaaaaaay better imho. I think you'd just have to handle both for a bit and see, but for me the DS4 is by far the more comfortable

I have used an x360/ps3/ps4 and xb1 and I prefer the xb1 over all of them.

I feel that the xb1 controller feels so natural to hold with minimal reach for all buttons.

Ps3/4 - I felt like I was reaching for some controls with my thumbs, very strange. Also its small and uncomfortable.

I only use a controller for racing games
