My new 60 gig 360 is quieter than my PS3.

This is my second PS3. The first one lasted a week, that was silent but the replacement was not. I am not the only one with a noisy PS3, there are people on other forums reporting noisy PS3s although not as many as people complaining about there 360's. I have just bought a 60 gig 360 and moved on my launch day 360 (still working but loud) and the new 360 really is a lot quieter. The fans are very quiet and the ROM drive is a lot quieter than my original 360. Once the dashboard is updated to allow games to be played from the hard drive it really will be almost silent. It is still pot luck on how quiet the 360 will be as they use 2 makes of fans and it depends which make of fan you get inside your 360.
 
Are we allowed to talk about modding the consoles firmware here?

Not in any specific detail, I'd just like to know if I can ask if it's possible on an arcade version.

I should have done 18 months ago instead of my PS3, PSN is so bad compared to live.
 
Have picked up an arcade and a pro, thought i might as well at these prices...my bro has a premium too...anyway...the shop selling these dirt cheap have said that they will accept returns upto 28 days if they remain unopened....ill either return the pro or sell it on a well known auction site....decisions decisions...just so that you know it seems in the NW london area there are a faiur few arcades about, and only a few pros remaining.
 
I went to buy the premium 60 gig at my local store only to find they were trying to pass off the 20 gig versions at 139.99 :(

so i went elsewhere and bought an elite with fifa09 and an extra controller for 229.99 :)

Although clearly the 60GB is better value, you get jack crap in the Arcade.

Just was a random quick purchase, although I am deffo happy. I got GTA4 & Ass. Creed.

Top notch for tonights entertainment!
 
Hope I can get a Wii, bet they don't send decent stock to Hull though!

I managed to pick up Soul Caliber 4 for £19.97. Mis priced at purple shirt land, the checkout girl didn't even question the price (the price sticker was inside the security case) so just manually overrode the price on the till.

I also bought Prey for a tenner from a toy store.

What other games are worth getting? Assassins Creed always looked good, what sort of price would that be used as I have seen it online new for £13del.

I picked it up second hand for £12. Promptly traded it in for something eslse. Although I love stuff about the Templars etc etc I just found Assasins Creed boring.
 
None delivered again today, they leading everyone a merry dance? Or is this another joy of living in Hull?
