What about the older games, are they supported? (every game I've got is on Steam)its also being supported straight out the box with newer pc games so its really easy to setup and play.

Max Payne 2 is the game that made me think about getting a controller. It depends on the game.. do you have any particular games in mind?
I'm never going to be far enough away from my screen to make it worth my while. Wired fines for my needs. If it's of interest, probably not if you're on a laptop, but you can get the wireless controller and wireless USB receiver thing for about £24 and maybe less if you shop around. That bundle is sold as "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller For Windows"
I find it difficult to really get into PC gaming using a keyboard and mouse unless it's either a strategy game or multiplayer fps.Playing some games using 360 controller is just awesome.

Racing games need a controller imo, love gta with the controller as wellI find it difficult to really get into PC gaming using a keyboard and mouse unless it's either a strategy game or multiplayer fps.
Just ordered the controller in the OP, cheers for the advice.
Ill have to look at those 2 myselfive got tons of games i use it with via steam, if its not native to the game then you can use xpadder or pinnacle pad profiler to work round it. even got it to work like a mouse in torchlight![]()
Never thought of getting wireless one, same reason i don't have a wireless mouse i guess.. Plus it was more expensive, plus the max distance of the wired controller reaches my bed, and that far away its hard to see whats happening sort of on my 23"As said above, the wireless one is better, no trailing cables, can sit back and relax.
