i have that problem with NFS:MW, the analog stick wont rest in the middle

But the pad works PERFECTLY with POP:TTT, feedback and everything!

this will allow you to bind keys on the pad to keyboard buttons so you can basically use the pad with any game. it took me a few minutes to set it up, you need to make individual profiles for each game but once i sussed it out, it was no trouble

I've purchased this game and the Xbox 360 pad. Did you install the drivers for the controller or did it work more less out of the box?

yeah it pretty much works straight off, get the pinnacle game profiler and increase the deadzones, as said above it is too sensitive and doesnt settle in the middle properly

I use the XBCD drivers on the standard Xbox controller. You can download different config files (or set it up yourself) to either have the triggers work digitally (on/off) or analogue. I assume it is the same with the 360 controller.
