Not 100% sure about updates from the US, I can only imagine that if you stick the disc in, it'll probably tell you if it will allow the update or not.

One certain way to tell if you have the latest update is see if you can select either 1080p in component, or 1920x1080 in VGA.

ahh 1920x???? is most deff not in optoins i know that for sure but may not display it as it would kill me moniter haha max 1440x900.

any one got link from uk site (here we go again haha).

It will definitely show 1920x1080 in the list, regardless of what your monitor can display.

I doubt that you will have a problem updating using that update personally. Is there no way you can just connect your 360 to the net for a few minutes?

That's a bug that set it to a resolution your monitor/tv cant handle. People blindly changed their's and it worked fine.
I updated mine on 27/12/06 and its fine.

ummm still aint sure about updating haha.just been playing demo of need for speed carbon runs like a bag of crap freezes and all that why? i noticed this on tony hawkes projects any one else get this?.

Does it freeze to the point of crashing? Or just poor framerates?

Just try using the US update, if it's not compatible, I'd have thought it would tell you.

Else, move your 360 and monitor to the router for a few minutes and update it that way if you can.

id say poor frame rate and allso disk acess stutter/freezing does it on a few game tbh me bros did it when he brought it down to mine and we connected it to me moniter he said its never stutterd like that on his tv std crt tv via scart or the one with 3 colourd cables cant remember which.

i dont know about update i realy dont want to kill it sorry to keep going on hahaha

Never noticed that sensor sound before. Maybe because I've always handled mine like its about to explode

Placing the cables into the jacks like I'm a member of the bomb squad as though that will stop me getting 3 red lights

ok updated it i have the optoin of more resilutions now well one more any way haha.

for real guys its running slow like fps hits and acessing drive or somthing i know what fps hit looks like ive played games on a crappy pc befor haha.MMMmmm i may try a diff re see if it helps.

Tony Hawk definitely has a lot of framerate problems according to reviews, and Need for Speed being a Need for Speed game, I'd almost guarantee it would have framerate problems

ahhh right may just be coding tryed it at 1024x768 still does it it pauses then continues and slows down sometimes to and nooo i aint hitting the slow mo button.

Changing resolution wont do anything anyway, as it's all rendered at 1280x720 and then scaled up/down to whatever resolution your TV is set at.

What games does it stutter on? (Other than THP8 and NFS)

on me bros his one did it on saints row but he said it only happend since he put it on my moniter via vga i may try me xbox on me tv via the three colourd cables.

havent tryed pgr3 yet.

When I played Saints Row it had a pretty crappy framerate.

Try PGR3, you shouldn't get any slowdown in that at all.
