Scart = not HD.

Component/Composite cable = HD over component/SD over Composite.

I've not seen many monitors with a component connector though.

As I said, I'm not the only person to think this, The fact that you think HDMI should be far better is subjective to your tastes.

I'm only trying to help, no need for the smile. Well how can an analogue signal be better than a digital signal on a HDTV? It doesn’t happen; do you use VGA on your PC rather than DVI? It’s the same Principe DVI is far better to use on a decent LCD than a VGA cable.

Anyway looks like it one of these debates where nobody is right so we will probably have to agree to disagree.

I think your missing the point. I think he is trying to say that because the VGA is not as crisp/sharp as the HDMI cable, it has a "softer" look to it, so edges are blurred slightly and appear to look smoother.

I don’t think so reading at his posts :confused:

to me he is saying VGA is a better connection than HDMI? Anyway that’s fine he chooses to play using a VGA cable I’m only defending my point, I'm not to say what he uses.

I've started using VGA, its awesome. Official adapter also comes with an optional phono to 3.5mm adapter for sound.

Its nice that most of it is encorporated in the VGA cable itself (well, attached on to it) as it keeps it tidy, and means I can plug it direct in to my PC's amp

I've never said it's the better connection, I've said that I prefer the VGA connection for the Xbox.

I don't deny that the data transferred through the HDMI cable is more accurate, but more accurate data and a nicer picture don't equal the same thing to me. Just my personal tastes though.
