Xbox 360 & PS3 vs PC graphics

I agree.

Problem-free PC gaming is actually ridiculously easy, which from where I'm sitting makes the issues sub-optimal specimens like SonicUK and thedoc46 constantly seem to encounter all the more amusing.

For the record, doc46? My hardware spits out over 100 fps in F12010. That's like, over 300% the performance of a console! In a real game! That I own!

You don't know what you're doing.

Anyway, I've given up accounting for/showing patience to/trying to help these reactionary remedial little lesser-thans. Defect already, thus described defectives, and take that stench of mediocrity when you go because I'm done having to share this hobby with you.

Have a CRT do you? Why are you running F1 at 300fps then? Don't mind a bit of tearing then? OR simply know jack about anything. Call me the noob? You 90 post skid mark. STFU.

Only thing spitting out from you is all the crap you talk..(and your teeth you ever went out in life speaking the way you do) Calling me a specimen. Who do you think you are? Given up on these lesser than's? I'm guessing you are a scrawny little skid mark playing on his PC every night? Now hurry up and run back into your little one bed, bedroom. Loser.

But more often than not it is a software related issue though, you can't pick a card and know which games released in eight months will run poorly on it. Many games that come out these days do have poor performance upon release that requires a patch or driver update for certain setups DA2 or F1 2010 are prime examples of these. The fixes often aren't obvious, and the problems often aren't down to someone not knowing what they are doing at all.

Thinking that your a superior human because you luckily picked a a spec that results in less problems than someone else is ridiculous.

i remember my ps3 games requiring software patches too, even fifa09 did when i first stuck the disc in, and i got that at midnight when it was first onsale in shops. so cant just blame pc games for this.

I didn't say patches in general. I was referring to patches that get released to fix poor performance produced by specific hardware combinations that are only realised after a games release. You rarely see this on consoles.

Dont get me wrong, I'm all for patches in games for new content, general bug attention, game balancing and performance improvements on PC and consoles. But when you find games on release with dire performance on a whole series of cards, it just shouldn't happen.

Exactly. When you buy a car you don't expect to be back at the garage a day later waiting for them to make it work properly.

Same with games, you pay £30+ to play something that works

Console patches are bullet-proof. You start the game and it says update available and you press 'X' or 'A' and that's it. On the PS3 you can click cancel, not sure about Xbox360 as I've not had it long so can't remember.

Sub-optimal? Lesser-thans? Sharing this hobby? I'm sorry, what? I guess your Elitist ego really has had an effect on you. Not only do you think yourself above everyone else, you actually really believe it too. You show complete and utter comtempt for anyone else that dosent worship you because of (in your mind at least) your all mighty rig that as you so modestly put it "can play F1 at 100fps and has 300% the performance of a console" as if any real gamer gives a crap. I too have that level of performance from my PC. So what? Who cares?

The difference is I consider everyone equal and as gamers - who are entitled to make a choice and regardless of what platform/s they choose to enjoy their hobby on I appreciate the fact we all have a common interest and enjoy discussing game related issues with likeminded people. You on the other hand and others like you display no such qualities and its a shame there are Elitists like you wasting server space and bandwith, clogging up forums with your trash talk when there are proper Console and PC Gamers out there who just want to enjoy discussing their hobby.

In short you sir just proved in your post the exact point me and Order Of The Flame are making. Well done.
