Xbox 360 Slim?

Good lord. I've just been utterly blinded by your total ignorance and arrogance. Welcome to the ignore list. No time for such narrow minded morons.

Don't worry. You get these Pc geeks/microsoft hater guys turning up in Consoles to have a go from time to time. He will have crawled back to his natural habitat, never to be heard from for another 6 months.

No because good 360 exclusives are few and far between the ps3 is going to clean up with games like god of war 3, heavy rain, uncharted 2 , last guardian etc.

:( Dude, if you're going to try and troll and least make a decent attempt! Trolls put no effort in anymore.

If you're serious, then it's even more of a :(

Oh, BTW I love both consoles :D

But yeah, will be interesting if it happens. Won't cause me to swap in mine for one, I'm happy enough plodding along TBH. :D

Mines has had the RRoD and the subsequent fix, however occasionally there'll be graphical corruption, happened for a couple years now actually...

I this motherboard isn't a hoax and we see a slimline 360, I'll happily move on to it. (Aslong as it doesn't sound like a jet engine, and has at least a 120gb HD...)

It's going to need built in wi-fi for me to be interested. Much as I'd like to play online with my 360 owning friends, I'm not paying extra for wifi and don't particularly want cat5 cables snaking round my house. Until then I'll stick to my PS3.

You did pay for the wifi in your PS3 by the way :p

I'd definitely buy a slimline 360, providing the noise and heat of it has been drastically reduced. My current 360, which has just been a dust collector for about 6 months, sounds like a hoover.

Why do people insist on going on about WI-FI being in with the PS3/not with the 360. It's tiresome.

It's a bit of a pain I guess having to shell out the extra. It don't affect me, as my router is literally 2 feet away - but my friends router is the other side of his house, meaning he had to pay (£60? I think) for the wireless on release.

I think it's annoying that it wasn't included, but people are slightly going OTT - it's just one of those things.

Truthfully though, I'm happy to admit the bad things about both consoles (and let's face it, neither are perfect) but I prefer to instead focus on the positives of both - the games.

But, this thread is getting off topic. The slim will really help the 360 I think, if it sorts out its main problems especially.

Because some people want it built in at no extra cost... others dont need it and prefer the fact its not included as it keeps the console cost down. However if you do need it, you then have to pay extra for it and then the console isnt as cheap.

What I wrote shows 3 different consumers, with different needs, So obviously you're going to get posts that reflect all 3.

At a guess you're a person who's happy its keeping console cost down.

I'm of the group that doesnt need it as my setup is right next to my router.

but I can imagine I'd begrudge paying out for the wireless adapter if my router was further away.

the wifi arguement is valid, as a 360 owner i think its a joke how much the wifi costs, iv got mine hard wired, but i refuse to shell out that OTT price on the adapter, whereas if it was reasonably priced I would buy one incase I wanted to move my 360 to a different room for a bit...

They need to realise that that will probably never happen. If they integrate wi-fi, it'll be reflected in a higher selling price for the console. Granted, it'd be less than the price of the wi-fi adapter alone, but it's still unreasonable to expect hardware to be added but the price to remain the same (or lower).

I would buy a Xbox 360 slim on day one! :D

If the rumours are true about the slot loading disc drive that would be awesome. Toslink on board is a bonus aswell. Glad they don;t bundle wifi with it. Mean more people have to use a good ol low latency ethernet cable.

One question i do have though is, if they did make a slim what would happen to our elite 120gb hard drives? Would they be obsolete?

Prove me wrong ? I had my 360 a year had about 30 hours use every good game that came out for it was better on my pc.
Don't own a ps3 but I know it's outselling the 360 lately and I put that down to it's classy exclusive titles.

And what do MS announce to combat these great games ? Halo reach  and now the ps360 slim it's embarrassing quite frankly.
I understand people liking the 360 that cant afford or have a gaming pc but for the ones that do just cant for the life of me see why I guess unless they have lots of friends that have one and don't prefer the pc.

Cant see this stopping the current trend of anti xbox 360 opinion gathering pace mainly due to lack of good exclusives and charging for p2p multi still, not to mention the overpriced ms only peripherals.

What's next from MS ? an hourly rate for using a 360 ?

Have you looked at the latest hardware sales figures?

360 has a good selection of new games this year have a look.

On the contrary, I'm in the camp that my 360 is right next to the router.

Ah, you're in my camp then. :p

If put in a situation where you needed to move the router away from the machine, would you be happy to spend the extra on an adapter?

Like i said before, I would buy one, but i'd not be happy with having to. They're quite pricey too for what they achieve. £40 last time i checked?
