**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Yeah the cars and circuits look great but beyond that the AI always sucks and the game play bores me to tears. Never get the forza love beyond what people say we shouldn't be interested in anyway, graphics.

If Drivatar works as it's meant to work (and I'm not saying it will or it won't) then that should really improve the AI. Having AI based on how real people drive, taking risks and being more aggressive, would turn every SP race into something more like an MP race. If it works like that, it could be amazing.

Halo is the only game that might drag me back to the Xbox camp

Halo will prob do the same for me, assuming another game hasn't already done so. I actually think the immediate lineup for both consoles is pretty poor - there may actually be more I want on the WiiiU! Regardless, this generation is going to be a long one and both consoles will be home to some great exclusives. What I'd really like are some sprawling adventure games. The power's there now for vast 3D worlds - why not have some massive platform/action/rpg titles? Everything we've seen so far, bar the odd exception, looks so safe and dull.

Getting smashed off the track on the first corner then ;)

How can you say Titanfall looks like a generic FPS yet still be really excited for Destiny? Have I missed something about Destiny? Everyone who's played Titanfall at Gamescom have raved over it.

What makes Titanfall different to something like Battlefield? Large scale battles with offensive/defensive elements and vehicles, aka Titans. I'm not saying it doesn't look good, it just doesn't interest me.

Destiny adds a whole different scope to FPS; RPG. Large vast worlds where you enter dungeons, farm loot, level up and develop your character. Pretty impressive!

Yeah, I just can't help see it as a mmo-borderlands that inherits a ton of its style from Halo. (Which is a given because it's bungie)

As much as I enjoyed the art style of Borderlands, the whole Halo meets Fantasy style is part of the reason I'm looking forward to Destiny so much :D I don't see it being taken too seriously though, Bungie have always had a great sense of humour both in and out of games.

It's strange I used to love driving games, I only really play them in local SP because online they just suck unless you are racing 8 friends. The trouble is games like Forza have the most mind numbingly boring SP games.

Hell I'd rather play the campaign on super monaco GP on the megadrive :(

Totally agree there. If only they would announce a new PGR game..that was a whole lot of fun online.

The reintroduction of drivatars may help with the AI, does anyone remember the originals in Forza 1?

Ah, didn't realise Destiny had RPG elements. I'm even more interested in it now :)

For me (Halo) Destiny brings an epic (looking) mix of Single player, Co-op with MMO elements. I can happily have a run around on my own or have friends join up for some epic carnage then occasionally come across massive world events and work as a dynamic team. It not a full MMO with elements that force me to really on 29 other people to get anything done it scales to what I want to do at the time....or at least that's how I've interrupted what's been released so far :D

I'm definitely in last day before week off mode, using an abusing the works internets.

We have been hearing that about Forza AI since Forza 2. Call me a cynic but....

I preferred the campaign style with PGR but online without friends I found it equally annoying. There's just nothing to combat some idiot holding the throttle down and smashing into everyone in the first corner :D

Where you could just drive through a ghost image was just so unsatisfying :(

As someone who plays Planetside 2 im looking forward to hearing the bitching from console gamers on subs and microtransactions on all these F2P games.

Davy, Destiny isnt PS4 exclusive its out on all next gen platforms it just has some "exclusive content" (see watchdogs for each console having its own exclusives id guess).

The gladiator coop thing i saw on Ryse has peaked my interest in a game i didnt care much for till now

Majority of games don't even run at 720p, they are rendered at lower resolutions and then upscaled. Same with PS3.

I shall stand corrected by you both then. :)

- But I will maintain, they both look pretty good, so the next gen should be very good. Especially by the way Forza 5 looks, even if it's not as good as it shows (usually never is as good as the promotional stuff).

Titanfall also doesn't excite me at all. As far as we've seen its multiplayer only? No thanks, Jeff. Destiny however, oh lawd. Honestly 90% of it is Bungie, Halo is flat out the best console FPS series. Killzone etc. don't even get anywhere near.
