**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Think he's suggesting it's more fun to sit bolt upright in front of a PC monitor than chilled out in front of a big tv / sofa / home cinema sound setup.

You know you can do both with both systems right?

I have my 360 connected to my PC monitor and a HTPC connected to my TV.

I sit pretty upright for both console & PC gaming, using the monitor and speakers for both. Keeps me more focused on the game than being 'slouched into a big comfy chair/propped up on the bed'.

I'm the same, prefer to game at my desk where I have my PC and consoles. Do have one in the living room but that's mostly for the kids.

Not sure if this has been posted earlier but here's the confirmation that the HUMA stuff was all just BS. Both consoles have it

Interesting that AMDs statement to the press spedicially states their marketing manager Marc Diana gave out false information. I bet he got it right in the neck.

Thats not confirmation at all. That story is just quoting the so called 'confirmed XB1 dev' on reddit. The one who said they have never even heard of hUMA. That account is pretty likely to just be a Microsoft PR account. Afterall it did appear when all the bad press was happening, and only ever says anything when more bad news comes out.

You missed the bit that said
AMD later released a statement, stating Diana had "made inaccurate statements regarding the details of our semi-custom APU architectures."
Why is it you feel the need to try to post here and bash Xbox One continually even in the XO thread. You don't have an awful lot of credibility since the cboat farce so you'd have thought you'd have given up embarrassing yourself by now.:(

Give it a rest eh or contribute in a useful way for a change. Tell us something interesting about PS4, or, heaven forbid how you like the way Xbox is doing something instead of hanging on any negative XO rumour with glee and then dismiss anything from a confirmed XO dev as a "PR account" because it's inconvenient to your argument.

Go back to the PS4 thead and talk about how Naughty Dog are making some new game. Last thing I played by them and enjoyed was Crash Bandicoot.

I'd imagine it's more a case of suggesting using a mouse and keyboard is a better way to enjoy an FPS. Whilst I agree, obviously everyone has their preference.

I find mouse/keyboard gives more control but that's a double-edged sword since pro players are frighteningly good whereas a gamepad reduces the variation in skill and that slightly more level playing field benefits people like me who no longer have multiple hours per day to play.

Also I spend all day using a keyboard so I like having a break from that when gaming.

Some of the Xbox One exclusives look really good, I was just looking at RYSE, but again, I noticed frame rate drops.

I'm loving how MS has worked on getting out the launch titles, but I'm getting worried with the performance.

I don't know if it's the CPU or the GPU, I haven't actually seen much/any PS4 footage as I'm not too interested in it, but if it's the CPU, PS4 will have the same problems.

It'll just be optimisation issues I'd imagine, and the fact they're just getting to grips with the new hardware. I have no doubt that all will be fine for the launch date.

The only problem, if it's CPU utilisation, it's going to be hard to "optimise" as you'll need a heavily threaded engine using the cores as much as possible, so I'm hoping it's a GPU optimisation problem they're having.
